Why ENT?

In early 2008, a group of eight undergraduate students from the University of Dayton set out to bring entrepreneurial brotherhood to the collegiate level. The founding fathers wanted to create a network of entrepreneurs that would be connected by the ideals of brotherhood and would live by the four ideals of the fraternity. Later that year on April 18, 2008, Epsilon Nu Tau, the Nation's First Entrepreneurial Fraternity was established. ENT is based upon a professional and entrepreneurial mindset, with fellowship and community as its backbone.

Four Ideals of the Fraternity:

  • To advance the ideals of professionalism and salesmanship

  • To create a community of entrepreneurially spirited individuals

  • To encourage ethical business practices within the community, and to contribute to the welfare of society

  • To promote the art and science of entrepreneurship

Q & A

With our Brothers

What is your favorite part of ENT?

"My favorite part of ENT is the people. Everyone has different background interests and hobbies, and ENT was a great way for me to meet people who were outside of what I was familiar with. ENT was one of the main ways I was able to find both role models and great friends here at UD who are overall just fun and determined people." - Shelby LaMattina

"What I like about ENT the most is that everyone is very friendly and always willing to help a brother out with whatever they'd need." - Jack Mazur

What is your favorite ENT event?

"My favorite ENT event would have to be Trivia Night. It’s a great time where we get to better know our new members and show them what ENT is all about." - Aidan Gaughan

"Trivia night is my favorite ENT event because normally it is the first social event of the semester so it is fun to see everyone in an out-of-school environment. Then we divide up into families to answer fun trivia questions about the fraternity." - Jack Connaughton

What is your favorite ENT memory?

"The first time I went to meet the brothers when I was first joining I met a lot of people who I’m still friends with today." - Dan Ponto

"I would say my favorite memory with ENT was being a new member educator. I got to hear the new member class that I oversaw give their elevator pitches at the end of the new member process and it made me so happy. They all had great ideas for their own products and were able to pitch them confidently." - Holden Fisher

What has ENT taught you?

"ENT has taught me skills that I know are going to last a lifetime. I have grown both socially and professionally since ENT, with knowledge that I will easily be able to apply to any occupation and/or experience in my future. Not only have I become well versed in many professional assets but I have met lifelong friends in ENT that I would not have met without joining such an amazing organization." - Kira Yoakum

"Along with greatly sharpening my professional skills, ENT has shown me how important it is to surround yourself with business-minded and driven individuals. This has inspired me to better myself and learn from others in ways I never thought were possible." - Madi Argiro
